CBM means cubic metre, a common unit for measuring cargo volume. To calculate it from centimetres: length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000. For multiple identical cartons, multiply by the carton count.
Example: A carton measuring 60 × 40 × 50 cm has a volume of 0.12 CBM. Ten identical cartons measure 1.20 CBM before any repacking.
Actual billable volume may depend on the selected sea-freight route, outer packaging, rounding rules and the minimum billing volume. A 0.3 CBM minimum, for example, means a smaller shipment may still be charged at 0.3 CBM.
For an accurate quotation, provide the outside dimensions, carton count, contents and delivery postcode. Always request the route-specific billing rule before dispatch.
